Initial Consultation

Our Initial Consultation is where your ideas start to take form as a real, workable landscape. We sit down with you on-site, walk the property together, and listen carefully to how you want to live and work outdoors-what's frustrating you now, and what would feel like a win a year from today.

From there, we study the sun, shade, slope, and existing plant communities to see how nature is already moving water, wind, and wildlife across your land. That site conditions assessment is the backbone of everything we do; it keeps us from fighting your property's natural tendencies and lets us design in flow with them instead.

During this visit, we sketch conceptual ideas right in front of you: possible zones for gathering, quiet nooks, kid or pet areas, and where stormwater can be redirected to feed trees and garden beds instead of washing out soil. You get our honest feedback on what will thrive, what will struggle, and where a small grading or planting change could prevent bigger problems down the road.

By the end of the Initial Consultation, you have a clear sense of direction: priority areas to focus on, first-step projects that make the biggest impact, and how an ancient-modern DragonScape layout could evolve over time. Some clients use this meeting as a stand-alone roadmap; others roll directly into a master site layout, detailed planting plans, or stormwater-focused design. Either way, you walk away with grounded, site-specific guidance-not generic advice-so your investment in design and installation starts from a place of clarity and natural harmony.
